Weather expectations: Average high temps for Purgatory Ski Resort in August tend to be in the 70's F. Average low temps can dip as low as the upper 30's F. Since we're high in the mountains, that means our morning seminars might be quite cold, along with our evening hangout sessions. So pack your winter jackets!

Elevation: Our venue is at around 8700ft. Please be high altitude smart! Make sure to stay hydrated and know the signs of altitude sickness. READ HERE for more.

Bring cash! You'll need dollar bills to join the Left Right Center dice game craze. And you'll also need cash for your chance to win the amazing donated prizes in our onsite fundraiser!

There's an ATM: If you forget cash, don't worry! There's an ATM onsite, located in the plaza right by the Purgatory ticket office. 

Don't arrive early: Please wait to arrive until 11am on Friday. It's part of our agreement with Purgatory that only the hosts will be there ahead of time, so we can get everything set up and ready for you all. Thanks for working with us on that!

Please wear your name tags: This helps more than you know, and we very much appreciate you keeping your name tag on throughout the rally. 

Quiet hours: 10pm - 7am  Purgatory has asked us to abide by this timeframe in consideration of the neighboring homeowners. We're hoping everyone can respect these hours.

We'll be dry camping, with no water or electricity onsite. So come with your batteries fully charged, your fresh filled, your cassette dumped -- so you'll be all set for some amazing boondocking!

Where to find water and dumps: 

The closest place to get water or to dump is the Needles Country Store Gas Station, located less than 3 miles south of Purgatory. It's an easy drive that only takes a few minutes, right along the main highway. You do need to pay ($10), and you'll find the dump behind the store. 

 DUMPS/WATER NORTH:

22 miles north - Silverton, CO, Silver Summit RV park. 

Full service campground and dump station.

$68 for a full hook up site. $22 water and dump only.

22 miles north - Silverton, CO, Silverton Lakes Campground. 

Full service campground with dump station.

$75 for a full hook up site.  $25 water and dump only.

DUMPS/WATER SOUTH:

39 miles south - Speedway gas station - Durango, CO

Dump station located next to carwash, no charge!

Unclear about freshwater onsite.

44 miles south -  Pace Prolube Auto Care

Dump station and water next to building, no charge!

You need a flathead screwdriver to open dump top, water needs a special wrench.

Ask for wrench inside when business is open.
